Canine Obedience Training Classes

Treasure Coast Kennel Club offers canine obedience training classes. Please contact class instructors for current and upcoming training sessions. TCKC is pleased to offer all obedience attendees the opportunity to participate in free CGC Testing at the end of each Beginner's Obedience session. Please fill out the CGC Application and bring it with you to the last class.

Beginner's Obedience Classes

Beginner's Obedience Program: During this six-week course, we will teach you how to train your dog in basic obedience and offer advice on behavior issues. In addition, we will address the requirements, and prepare you for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test.

Content: This course will focus on basic commands such as sit, down, stay, and recall, as well as exercises to prepare you for the CGC test. Please review the Course Outline for more details.

Please be sure you have read, and abide by our Aggressive Dog Policy prior to registering for this course.

Time: Mondays from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM - 6 week class
Cost: $70.00 for 6 weeks (Club members $50).If anyone takes a class again (2nd, 3rd etc) with the same dog, then the cost will be $ 35.00.


Competition Obedience Runs

Program: This is an informal training group that does run thrus and trades training tips. Beginning to advanced trainers are welcome. Handlers must bring a crate so they can leave their dog and assist as a steward or judge for other handlers. Our competition obedience classes are weekly on Wednesdays beginning at 6:00 pm and cost just $5.00 per week.
